GRODAN CUBES 3″ WRAPPED EACH

SKU: MED607. Category: . Tag: .
Whether starting your seeds and cuttings in A-OK Starters, Macroplugs, or Mini-Blocks it is a good idea to transplant into a 3” or 4” block. You know it’s time to transplant to the Gro-Block when roots coming out of the starter are about 1” long. Just place your Mini-Block on top of the 3” or 4” block without the hole, or your Macroplug/A-OK into the 3” or 4” block with the hole and watch your plant flourish.
Grodan rockwool is an excellent quality stonewool substrate with a very high water holding capacity. Rockwool is absolutely free of disease, salts, and weed seeds. It has no Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) so the grower can take advantage of a nutritional program specifically tailored to the crop being grown.Rockwool blocks containing plants are set on top of the slabs and the roots grow through the block and into the slabs. Nutrient solution may be applied through a spray or drip emitter either directly to the slab or through the growing blocks. Blocks are commonly used for germination of seed and rooting cuttings. The vertically oriented fibers in blocks promote good downward root growth

About Homegrown Hydroponics

Homegrown Hydroponics Inc. was founded in 1985 in Toronto, Ontario Canada to serve the needs of indoor gardeners. Growing from a small retail location to a network of retail locations and wholesale distribution. Now engaged in manufacture of products, importing/ exporting and regional distribution, Homegrown has products and services suited to many needs in the indoor hobby and commercial hydroponics markets.

About Hydroponics

Hydroponic gardening is better than soil gardening for several reasons. More plants can generally be grown in the same amount of space when compared to traditional soil gardens. Roots are delivered nutrients instead of having to stretch out in search of them. Also hydroponic gardens can be stacked to further increase space efficiency. The main benefit to hydroponic gardening is much higher oxygen levels in the root zone when compared to a soil garden.
