Thank you to all Homegrown Expo 2017 attendees. We had a wonderful time under great fall weather, and getting the support from our community makes it all worthwhile. This year had 22 companies and health advocates participate and bring their wealth of knowledge and products to our attendees. Lighting companies, growing mediums, local health practitioners and more were all on display. Refreshments were served; a nice fall soup with cauliflower, fresh waffles with whipped cream and fruit, as well as tea and coffee.
The highlight of the event was a discussion on cannabis legalization that included a presentation by Alex Rea on the history of cannabis, prohibition and the trend of legalization word wide. Abbey Roach of the Hot Box Cafe and Homegrown Hotbox gave a well received speech on the merits of private business to work in the cannabis industry as she is an advocate for small business in her community. We had speeches from Lene from Grodan and Stacey from Natural Insect and many others. It was a great event with many happy attendees and presenters. Homegrown Expo is more than just a customer appreciation day. It is a community focused education event to promote healthy lifestyles and a day to have fun.
